Have you ever seen the cross section of a nautilus shell? The precision of the inside chambers of the shell has always fascinated me, but on doing a little further research I have learnt that this interesting creature uses those chambers to create buoyancy, and it can actually propel itself through the water. It sucks in water and then expels it under pressure and uses this jet propulsion to speed off in the opposite direction.... REALLY.... I thought a shell was just a creature that crawled along the sea floor. Well there you go! This interesting little guy definitely needs a cute dress in his honor.
